#31670 - Moo Moo Moovers
A FIRST Tech Challenge team from NYC
About Us
We, the Moo Moo Moovers, are an independent FTC team made of 3 students from different schools and share the goal of learning to create a robot from concept to competition.
Although we attend different schools, we meet regularly and work as a team. We’ve spent our first FTC season showing that we moo-ve best when we moo-ve together.
Our Awards
Note that we have only been around for about a year and only competed in one season (rookie year).
-
FIRST states that this award “is given to the team that has an innovative and creative ROBOT design solution.”
-
FIRST states that this award is given to the team that best demonstrates their ability to solve problems through their autonomous, improving mechanical systems with control, or using sensors.
-
To get this award, you must be selected by an alliance captain in playoffs and make it to the final round.
-
This is a description of the award from FIRST:
“This award is optional and not given at all FIRST Tech Challenge events. During the competition, the judging panel may meet a team whose unique efforts, performance, or dynamics merit recognition, but does not fit into any of the other award categories. To recognize these unique teams, FIRST offers a Judges’ Choice Award.”
Engineering Process
➔
Strategic Processing
Technical decisions are first examined for logic and strategic use
➔
Software Implementation
Finally, it is inspected for code
compatibility
Because our team is so small (just 3 members!), it forces all of us to learn all fundamental skills like building and logic to ensure anyone can step in and fix a problem.
Physical Capabilities
It is then looked at for feasibility and
hardware compatibility
At the end of every meeting, we check in with each other to recap our progress and set goals/priorities for the next session. This helps us avoid wasting time or repeating mistakes.
